My Latest Obsession is a new post that I will be doing every now and then featuring something I’m obsessed with. It could be anything from a song to a cartoon character, it all just depends on my mood.
My latest obsession is the TV show Pretty Little Liars!
I used to be obsessed with the Pretty Little Liars books by Sara Shepard. I would rush out to buy them the day they came out and I’d usually be up late into the night reading them. They were so suspenseful and just plain awesome. When I heard about the TV show, I was skeptical and I refused to watch it. That all changed when I was home sick one day and the only thing I could find to watch was a Pretty Little Liars marathon. I was hooked after that.
I admit, I cheated. I started watching Pretty Little Liars in the middle of season 2 without watching season 1 or the first half of season 2. I was a little confused but not enough for me to stop watching. It was only recently that I actually sat down to watch the episodes that I missed. Admittedly, the first few episodes weren’t the best but the show really hit it’s stride mid-season 1. All the actors fit the characters from the book perfectly and I honestly adore them all (even the ones I love to hate.)
My biggest worry about the show was that I would see all the surprises coming since I’d read the books. That was so not the case. The writers of the show really switched things up. I am always just as shocked as everyone else when a new secret is revealed. Normally I don’t like movies/TV shows that really deviate from the books but in this case it really works.

I have recently become obsessed with the Pretty Little Liars TV show too. Watching all of season 1 & 2 in just two weeks, then catching up on season 3. It’s a shame there is a 4 month wait mid-season.
I was interested in reading the series, but like you (yet opposite) am afraid of knowing what will happen from watching the series. But if you say they are different, I might give them a go!
OMG! I LOVE this series. I’m actualy italin , but I couldn’t wait the series to come out in Italy, that’s way I started to see in original language. It’s AWESOME! I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS…expecialy Toby, he’s so cute!
I’ve never read the books , and I think I never will. It’s my vice : if I start to see series or film based on books , I do not read them.

I adore PLL!!! I actually started watching it as a bit of a joke because I needed a break from my disseration and got totally addicted. I watched the whole first season in a weekend. I haven’t read the books though, and I think I might leave it that way. So glad you’ve decided to watch it all though!!

I haven’t watched it because I want to read the books. I have the first 4 books but I just haven’t had time to read them. Its nice to know that the show is still entertaining and you still don’t know all the twists even after reading the books. Now I’m more anxious to read them so I can watch the show!
I love this show! The girls are gorgeous and the guys are droolworthy! Love it! I also love how the writers totally changed things up with the plot, even though some things are kept the same, which is great for true fans. Can’t wait for it to come back on!

I LOVE THIS SHOW! I started watching it in the beginning and expected it to suck, but nope!!! The casting is right on, those girls are awesome! I also love the fashion on the show and think that they have the HOTTEST guys on any TV show hands down. The Lying Game TV show is good also and is different from the books as well. Im glad you liked the TV show, the season 3 premiers at the beginning of January and I CAN’T WAIT!

I love the show. Sometimes I feel like it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure because I feel the demographic for the show is younger than I am(I mean, I’m only in college, but it’s set in a high school, so. . . ). I’ve actually never read the books– there’s just soooooo many of them and I don’t really want to read a series that long, but I love the show.
I love this show even though I don’t even really know what’s going on anymore and I barely know the character names beyond the main four…still a fun watch for me!
I love this show. I started watching fairly recently as I’d heard people go on about it and I was instantly addicted to it. It’s hard to know what’s going to happen next!! I really hope this is the last season though, as I think it should start to wrap up.
I read the books and watched the show but the books were better. The show is really good also but they changed too much. I had a little obsession with the show and the books. They are both amazing! Now I Nevermind have time to watch PLL anymore and the bugs me.

I’m obsessed with this show too, and it’s like you can’t watch it one week without watching it the next… it’s that addicting! I’m really liking how it’s the storyline is going in a different direction then the books!
