So I only read 8 books and 3 novellas. Yikes! This month I am going to do things differently. I want to read 25 books! Seeing as it’s already April 10 and I’ve only read 3, I’m not sure that’s going to happen but that’s my ultimate goal!
Here’s where you guys come in! I would love some help deciding what to read. It has to be young adult, traditionally published, and out within the past 5 years but other than that, I’ll check out pretty much anything. You can even suggest books that aren’t published yet since I do have a pretty extensive ARC collection. If I do have a copy of the book or can easily obtain a copy, I’ll read it. Bonus if the book happens to fit into one of my reading challenges for the year!

So I only read 8 books and 3 novellas. Yikes! This month I am going to do things differently. I want to read 25 books! Seeing as it’s already April 10 and I’ve only read 3, I’m not sure that’s going to happen but that’s my ultimate goal!
Here’s where you guys come in! I would love some help deciding what to read. It has to be young adult, traditionally published, and out within the past 5 years but other than that, I’ll check out pretty much anything. You can even suggest books that aren’t published yet since I do have a pretty extensive ARC collection. If I do have a copy of the book or can easily obtain a copy, I’ll read it. Bonus if the book happens to fit into one of my reading challenges for the year!
Also, as a little incentive, everyone who suggests a book (even if I don’t manage to read it during April) will be entered to win a book from my box of giveaways! Just comment with your suggestion and you’re entered! Also, if you don’t have a profile on Blogger, please leave an email address so I know how to contact you if you win!

I suggest any of the following: Maggie Stiefvater (any book, but I loved The Scorpio Races & The Raven Boys); Splintered by AG Howard; Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver; Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys; Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. 🙂

A couple of books that I have read and loved recently: Unspoken, Amber House, The Mapmaker’s War, Shadow and Bone, The Fault in Our Stars, Rules of Civility, and that’s all I can think right now! 🙂
The Soul Screamers books by Rachel Vincent are really good! And the last one just came out recently! 😀
Article 5 by Kristen Simmons. Near-future dystopia in which the U.S. voluntarily gives up the separation of church and state…to disastrous consequences.
This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers is a really quick read! Zombie book filled with with alot of other serious issues!
I recommend A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. It came out in 2011 but I just read it a week or so ago and loved it. It’s a quick read (215 pages with illustrations) but definitely worth it!

For your dystopia challenge: Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi ( very addicting! contains a lot of romance- Maybe you’ve heard of ch 62?), Prodigy (legend # 2- I haven’t read this one but would love to see your thoughts on it), The Darkest Minds (This book had a couple flaws but it was such an enjoyable read! It was exciting with a great cast), The Lives We Lost (sequel to the Way We Fall)
Contemporary: Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson (such a good read! Just bring tissues…), Flirting in Italian (don’t let the title fool you- this is a summer story that takes place in Italy and has a mystery!), Dare you to (the companion to pushing the limits- need I say more?)
Debut Author Challenge- The Madman’s Daughter ( Creepy good- just don’t read it late at night like I did)
Tbr Pile Challenge- Game by Barry Lyga (I have not read this yet but the first book was so unique and in a good way), Embrace by Jessica Shirvington (A paranormal romance you don’t want to miss out on), As dead as it gets (Katie Alender’s Trilogy), Shadowlands (very suspenseful and unpredictable)
Have you read Eleanor & Park? That’s my latest read and I really enjoyed it, plus it would definitely fit your contemporary challenge.

Your slacking off? Your not! I’m proud if I can get through 3 books. As for your Dystopian Challenge I suggest Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Selection by Kiera Cass and Breathe by Sarah Crossan. Ooooh! And Throne of Glass is good too.

Impostor (Slide #2) by Jill Hathaway for the Sophomore challenge. The Gone series by Michael Grant, the last book just came out. The Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent is one of my favorites. And I just loved The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

I totally recommend you read Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. It’s one of the best contemporary books I’ve ever read. It’s AMAZING. I think you’re doing pretty swell with all your challenges.

You should read Eleanor and Park for YA Contemporary. It’s an adorable story!

How about If He Had Been With Me? I’ve seen seen a review or two but they were positive, though it’s an emotional read. Or The Program? I’ve been dying to read that one! Eleanor and Park is one of my favorites from this year so far, if you haven’t read it yet. 🙂

So I totally had to stalk your Goodreads shelves and find a book that you hadn’t read yet, or which you hadn’t marked with ‘Date Read’ (which was kind of a hard task, since you’ve read SO many of my favorites!). But my suggestion is Unwind by Neal Shusterman. It’d work for your Dystopia challenge, and I kid you not, it’s probably one of my favorite books EVER written. It’s utterly amazing, to be honest. I’ve seen so many dystopian ideas done over and over again, but this one is unique and it’s written fantastically on top of that.

I’d recommend Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout, Mind Games by Kiersten White, and Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Strohmeyer. They are all amazing books! 🙂
Some books I’d suggest are Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, any book by Melina Marchetta, Gone series by Michael Grant and Eleanor & Park. They’re some of my favourite books/series. 🙂 I’ve also heard Legend is really good and it falls under your dystopian challenge.
I’d recommend basically anything by Jennifer Armentrout 🙂
And Life After Theft by Aprilynne Pike. Oh, and Taken by Erin Bowman. Loved all of them <3
Noughts and Crosses by Marjorie Blackman- straight up awesome.
Being Henry David by Cal Armistead, Colin Fischer by Zack Stenz, and Suicide notes by Michael Thomas Ford are all really good books! (Also, Being Henry David fits in your Contemp challenge!)

For your dystopian list, I recommend Blood Red Road and the sequel. The voice is very different, and there’s some good action and romance. Great read! ooh I would recommend How My Summer went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski! it is a road trip contemporary and I LOVED it! It comes out May 7th so I’m not sure if you have the book or not. An older book recommendation would be Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Storhmeyer! that book was so cute and it is also a contemporary!

You should read The Fault in our Stars by John Green. It is perfect, and it’d probably make you want to read more John Green books!:D

Oh for your Sophomore Challenge you could read Game by Barry Lyga. This is the follow up to last year’s I Hunt Killers! It comes out on Tuesday, and I read the ARC it was sooooo good!
